Last Friday, 21st October, the Confederation of Business Associations of the Balearic Islands (CAEB) held the Gala del Empresario 2022 at the Teatro Principal in Inca, where the CAEB Executive Committee awarded Fusteria Campanet the prize for commitment to the environment for companies with fewer than 50 workers.

These CAEB Awards, now in their seventh edition and held for the first time outside Palma, were attended by the president of the Confederation, Carmen Planas, who acted as master of ceremonies, Francina Armengol, president of the Government, the president of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations (CEOE), Antonio Garamendi, and more than 400 people, including politicians, business people and representatives of Balearic civil society.

Planas defended employment as “the best social shield” and stressed that in order to offer jobs it is necessary to have “a healthy, competitive and highly competitive business sector”. The CAEB Executive Committee, for its part, wanted to publicly recognise the entrepreneurs for “contributing in a committed and proactive way to achieve a fairer society and a more sustainable future”.

Pedro Payeras, manager of Fusteria Campanet, on receiving the award, underlined the importance of this award for them, as it recognises their values, effort and the necessary drive to continue doing things as they have done so far, well done. He also thanked the entire CAEB team for this opportunity, especially its president, Carmen Planas, for her dedication and hard work. As well as to his brother Miquel and to the excellent human team that forms part of Fusteria Campanet, since, thanks to them, today they are where they are.

Payeras ended his speech by assuring that they will continue to strive for excellence in all possible areas, always bearing in mind to preserve the environment and our beloved island, Mallorca.

Together we can make a more sustainable future!
